Summer Foraging, Wild Medicine & Folklore Walk, Lavenham Sunday 20th July
Summer Foraging, Wild Medicine & Folklore Walk – Lavenham, Suffolk
Sunday 20th July 2025 | 11am | 2–3 hours
Join me for a slow, sensory walk through the hedgerows and wild edges of Lavenham, one of Suffolk’s most beautiful medieval villages. These seasonal foraging walks are an invitation to remember our sacred kinship with the land—through meeting the wild plants, listening for their stories, and learning the old ways of gathering food and medicine in deep respect.
In the height of summer, we may encounter the last of the elderflowers turning to berry, the bright eyes of wild rose and meadowsweet, mugwort dancing on the breeze, yarrow standing sentinel, and the golden hum of St John’s wort. Each plant a presence, each meeting a moment of reconnection.
We begin with the burning of herbs or opening the space with a handcrafted mist and a blessing—offering handmade flower essences to support our attunement to the plant spirits. With intention, we ask permission of the land and its beings before we begin. This is a time to remember how to walk in relationship: reverent, open, and curious.
Practical notes:
You’ll receive a confirmation email on booking, and details of our exact meeting place closer to the date. Please dress for the weather and bring water if the day is warm. A notebook can be helpful, though you’re equally welcome to simply listen and receive.
Children are welcome free of charge—please let me know if they’ll be joining you. Dogs are also welcome with prior notice. The walk is mostly flat and gentle, but do reach out if you have questions about accessibility or your level of comfort.
To book and pay with cash on the day, or if you have any questions, email: me at info@wildfolkapothecary.com
