Late Summer Foraging, Wild Medicine & Folklore Walk – Lavenham, Suffolk

Sunday 24th August 2025 | 11am | 2–3 hours

Wander with me through the hedgerows and wild corners of Lavenham as late summer ripens. These walks are not just about gathering herbs—they are an act of remembrance. Together, we’ll meet the plants that grow along the edges of path and field, learning how to identify and work with them as allies in nourishment, medicine, and magic.

By late August, the land is shifting toward harvest. We may find blackberries darkening on the bramble, hawthorn heavy with green berries, mugwort in her dreaming cloak, nettles returning with autumn growth, and perhaps the first whispers of rosehip and elderberry. These are the plant beings of transition, offering both medicine and meaning as summer begins its slow turning.

We open our time together with a simple ritual: the burning of wild herbs or the opening of space with one of my handcrafted mists, and a drop of handmade flower essence to support heart and spirit in connecting to the plants. With care and intention, we greet the land and ask permission to walk and learn in relationship.

You’ll receive a booking confirmation by email, and closer to the time I’ll send the meeting point and final details. Please come dressed for the weather, and bring water if it’s warm. A notebook can be useful if you like to record what you learn, though it’s also welcome just to be present and receive.

Children are warmly welcomed free of charge, just let me know in advance if they’ll be joining you. Dogs are also welcome with notice. The route is flat and gentle, but do get in touch if you have any concerns about access or walking comfort.

To reserve a space with cash or for any questions, email me at info@wildfolkapothecary.com
