The intention behind this balm is to bring movement and freedom to the joints, to heal and to nourish the skin and all underneath.

It’s a water-energy balm/cream and is deeply moisturising. It has an organic Shea butter base and is infused with comfrey, nettle, and burdock root.

It will calm and relieve inflammation, so is fantastic for restoring movement in joints. It can be used all over the body and is a particularly moisturising and nourishing hand and foot cream.

Also wonderful for the watery, flowy lymphatic system; gently massaged onto swollen lymph nodes during infections, or dabbed onto the nodes on the neck, armpits, groin, and behind knees to stimulate lymph flow.

  • Burdock is a specific for the lymphatic system, stimulating flow and relieving congestion.
  • Nettle has a gentle and stimulating effect.
  • Comfrey has a long history of use in pain relief and as an anti-inflammatory herb.
  • The essential oils in this balm all help with lymphatic drainage; Violet awakens, lemon and Rose geranium stimulate.

Its scent is fresh, cucumber, bright, citrus, and verdant. It is buttery and soft and melts into the skin.

  • If you feel heat in the joints which wants cooling then store it in the fridge and then apply cold, if your issue feels cold in nature then the balm can be gently warmed in the hands before applying.

  • As you apply this to your inflamed or tight areas think of water, of free movement and flow. See the herbs working their magic on your body, ask that they help you, and offer thanks in return.

This is the creation I am most proud of, the healing power of the herbs comes through really strongly and the many people who swear by the daily use of this balm is growing.

Because of the texture of Shea butter it does not always look smooth but will melt into the skin softly and smoothly and be well absorbed without leaving a greasy residue. This balm is whipped by hand as it cools to create a softer, creamier texture, and to infuse movement and flow into the energetics of the medicine.

Organic cold-pressed olive oil, handmade extracts of wild-foraged comfrey (Symphytum officinalis), Nettle leaf, stem, and seed (Urtica dioica), and organic Burdock root (Arctium lappa), organic shea butter, organic cacao butter, unrefined beeswax, essential oils of organic lemon, rose geranium, and violet.

All of the items within my shop are made within sacred space in deep reverence and connection. I give thanks to the herbs and communicate with them about what I am making and my intentions. I have built up a strong reciprocal relationship with my local flora over the years and find them supportive of my endeavours to share the mystery and magic of plant medicine with other seekers on the path.
